Austin’s Story
Austin Katz is a freshman at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, majoring in public policy with a focus on international and security studies. Austin’s advocacy interests and projects lie in helping marginalized communities attain livable, affordable housing and access to ongoing healthcare. He has also worked to improve the quality of life for the homeless and hungry population of the Washington DC metro region.
Austin’s Story
Over the past decade, Austin has volunteered for the Rock and Roll for Children organization to raise funds for children seeking specialized medical treatment at the Children’s Inn at the National Health Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, throughout high school, he volunteered at the Manna Food Center of Montgomery County, Maryland, and at Miriam’s Kitchen of Washington, DC, to help feed needy residents.
